Andy Robertson has been a stalwart for Liverpool ever since he arrived from Hull City all those years ago.
Jurgen Klopp unearthed an unrefined gem in the Scotsman and turned him into arguably one of the best left-backs that Liverpool have ever seen.
Robertson has featured in numerous Premier League teams of the season during his time with the Anfield outfit and has been the first-choice left-back at the club for as long as many can remember.

So, the fact that Milos Kerkez is being linked with an Anfield switch will have no doubt unnerved him a little, with the left-back now giving his thoughts on what a move for the Hungary international could mean for the club and his own future.
Andy Robertson believes he still has a lot to give Liverpool despite their interest in Milos Kerkez
Robertson’s Liverpool future has come into question an awful lot this season, with the Scotsman performing well below the standards he’s set for himself over the last couple of years.
In fact, one of Liverpool’s weakest positions this season has been their left-back, so on the face of things, it’s clear to see why Arne Slot is on the hunt for a new face.
Speaking to BBC Sport ahead of Scotland’s international break, Robertson shared his thoughts on Liverpool’s interest in Kerkez.
“We’re not daft, it looks as if a deal could potentially be done,” he said.
“But, until that is done, I’ve not even given that a second thought. I back myself, I’ve got confidence in my own ability and that drives me forward.”
“I’ve had eight fantastic years at Liverpool in terms of winning trophies, being a mainstay in the team, which I’m incredibly proud of.
“I’m not getting any younger, I can’t change my age, but I still believe I’ve got a lot to give and that’s what I focus on. I focus on myself – you can’t focus on other people or who you’re competing with.
“I still believe I have a hell of a lot to give for however many years I can keep going. My body feels good at the minute. I can’t tell you how I’ll feel at 33 or 34, but I can tell you, at 31, I feel excellent.
“I’ve been fit for every game, I’ve not missed a training session and that’s not a sign of someone who is slowing down.
“I’ve got a year left at Liverpool, I’m looking forward to a switch off, I’m looking forward to a holiday and then I’ll look forward to pre-season. What the future holds after that? I’ve not given it too much thought.”

Milos Kerkez would be a perfect signing for Liverpool
As Danny Murphy has said, Kerkez would be an ideal transfer for Liverpool.
The left-back is only 22 years old and has been one of Bournemouth’s standout players this season.
The Cherries put in a fair few impressive performances as the 2024-25 season went on, with Andoni Iraola’s back four being one of the strongest areas of the team.
And, without Kerkez among their ranks, they’d have no doubt been far worse off due to the performances the Hungary international put in both in defence and attack.
| Competition | Games | Goals | Assists |
| Premier League | 38 | 2 | 6 |
| FA Cup | 3 | 0 | 0 |
| Carabao Cup | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Kerkez has far more pace than Robertson does, and to be honest, he’s also been in much better form this term.
If Liverpool want to be dominant again next season and retain the Premier League title, players such as the Hungary international will have to be brought in to strengthen their weakest areas.
Jeremie Frimpong has already made his way to Anfield to be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement, and with Florian Wirtz’s move now also close to completion, the Reds could have most of their business done by the end of next week.
Only time will tell what the future has in store, of course, but if the Anfield outfit can pull off all the moves they wish to, it’s hard to see how any other teams would be able to compete against them once next season.
