Liverpool suffered their first Premier League loss of 2025 away to Fulham, with Mohamed Salah’s performance once again in the spotlight.

The Egyptian winger made it four games without a goal as the Liverpool winger failed to do much against the Cottagers, with Salah criticised for his ‘non-existent’ performance against Fulham in west London this afternoon.

Whilst Liverpool as a whole were disappointing against Marco Silva’s side, Salah’s display in particular was one that would leave supporters frustrated given how good the former AS Roma star has been this season.

And Arne Slot has now given his verdict on Salah’s performance against Fulham and the forward’s lack of goals in recent games.

Arne Slot not worrying about Mohamed Salah’s recent form

Speaking to BBC Sport, the Liverpool manager admitted that he isn’t too worried yet about Salah’s goalscoring drought, with Slot pointing out that the winger’s incredible numbers this season speak for themselves.

Salah is on course to become only the second player to score and assist 20+ goals in the Premier League in a single campaign with the winger likely to achieve arguably the greatest season of all-time if the attacker can finally start finding the back of the net again.

And for Slot, the Liverpool coach is not worried about Salah’s recent performances, with the Dutch manager fully aware that the winger has already proved this season just how good he is having dominated the Premier League up until this point.

Slot said: “Maybe he should see it as a compliment [that people are talking about it] because his numbers were not normal [when he was scoring]. The good thing about Mo is he knows what kind of player he is. Mo will show up again, I don’t worry about that.”

Mohamed Salah needs to start finding the net ASAP

Salah’s lack of goals in recent games hadn’t been a problem for Liverpool up until this point, where the winger’s poor performance against Fulham played a part in the Cottagers securing all three points in west London.

And heading into games against the likes of West Ham and Leicester City, Salah knows that he needs to find his shooting boots if he’s to push Liverpool over the finish line for the Premier League title this month.

Indeed, Salah’s form has been the key reason behind Liverpool’s unstoppable march towards a second Premier League triumph, and the winger will want to end the season with a flourish in what is set to be a record-breaking year for the winger at Anfield.
