Liverpool have had a number of standout players this season – none more so than Mohamed Salah.
Having notched a staggering 52 goal contributions so far, Salah is enjoying a record-breaking campaign at Anfield.
February was a particularly productive month for the Egyptian, with six goals and four assists to his name – a tally that has since earned him a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month.
The stats suggest Salah will take home the trophy, but some fans actually believe that the 32-year-old could be beaten by fellow Liverpool teammate and nominee Dominik Szoboszlai.

Fans think Dominik Szoboszlai could win Premier League Player of the Month
Having been in and out of Arne Slot’s team during the first few months of the season, Szoboszlai has stepped up to the plate in recent weeks, with a string of impressive performances.
Szoboszlai was key versus Newcastle, meanwhile the Hungarian also played a big part in Liverpool’s victory over Man City.
With this in mind, some fans think he should pick the award up over Salah.
Another fan said: “Salah & Szoboszlai nominated for the PL Player of the Month for February. Fully deserved for both. I think Szoboszlai deserves it for his growing influence on us. He really started producing last month.”
A fourth fan added: “Probably Szoboszlai or Mateta.”
“Szobo had a great month but it will be Salah,” added another supporter.
Szoboszlai’s impressive February stats
Beating Salah to any award is no easy task, but Szoboszlai does have a case when it comes to the POTM accolade. That is because the Hungarian enjoyed a very impressive February, playing every single minute for Liverpool.
Slot has helped transform Szoboszlai this season, and that has been replicated in the stats.

| Feb 12th | Everton (A) | 1-1 (D) | – | – | 90 | 6.2 |

| Feb 23rd | Man City (A) | 0-2 (W) | 1 | 1 | 90 | 8.4 |
| Feb 26 | Newcastle (H) | 2-0 (W) | 1 | – | 90 | 8.8 |
Szoboszlai may not have the dazzling stats of Salah, but he has brought a consistency to his game not previously seen at Anfield. Reds supporters will no doubt be hoping he can continue to replicate this form in the business end of the season.
