Liverpool were victorious against Newcastle at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The three points over the Magpies all but confirm the Reds as Premier League champions after Arsenal dropped more points by drawing 0-0 with Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool put pressure on the Gunners to try and find a goal after opening the scoring very early against Newcastle with Ally McCoist praising Dominik Szoboszlai for his contribution.
Luis Diaz had a big role in the goal as the winger would assist the Hungary international, which was just one part of an exceptional performance from the Colombian.
Liverpool fans have noticed that Diaz is enjoying a recent change made by Arne Slot, which looks to be a big reason for his recent form.

Liverpool fans have noticed something about Luis Diaz
Following Cody Gakpo’s recent injury, Slot moved Diaz back out to his preferred position of left-wing and the Colombian has thrived in the role in the Dutch forward’s absence.
Liverpool fans praised Diaz for his performance against Wolves recently, highlighting how much better the winger has been out on the flanks, rather than in the central role he has occupied for most of the current season.
That observation was made again against Newcastle with one fan stating (via X formerly Twitter): “This Luis Diaz performance is not going unnoticed.”
A third fan said: “This is Diaz’s best game in a Liverpool shirt. Can’t believe what I’m seeing.”
Another Reds supporter would add: “People who don’t rate Luis Díaz are sick in the head.”
Luis Diaz closing in on Premier League record
Diaz’s assist against Newcastle made it 13 goals and four assists across 38 games for the winger this season.
On a wider scale, it was the 28-year-old’s 13th Premier League assist, which sees the Liverpool star surpass Hugo Rodallega (12) to become the third Colombian with the most assists in the entire history of the English top flight.
Juan Pablo Angel (14) and Faustino Asprilla (14) are the two players Diaz is trying to take down next and with 10 games remaining, there is no doubt that the Liverpool star will earn the top spot by the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
It is the least Diaz deserves as the winger has stepped up massively in recent weeks as the games become more important for the Reds.
