This summer is set to be a big one for Liverpool and Arne Slot.
The previous two transfer windows have been very quiet for the Merseyside club with Federico Chiesa being the only Liverpool signing added to the squad for the current campaign.
This in hindsight has worked out as it has given Slot the chance to evaluate his squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign with any new additions likely to be exactly what the Reds require.
It has also allowed the Premier League leaders to save their money for the upcoming summer transfer window and the kitty could be a large one, especially if Liverpool can move Darwin Nunez on for around the £62.5m fee they rejected for the striker in January.
Slot is still in need of a number six after Liverpool failed to bring in Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi last summer, however, the perfect solution may be found in Paris Saint-Germain’s Warren Zaire-Emery.

Warren Zaire-Emery is everything Liverpool are looking for
Zaire-Emery has drawn a lot of attention ever since the midfielder made his PSG debut in 2022 as it was immediately clear that the French talent was something special.
The 18-year-old has since gone on to play for the Ligue 1 champions 103 times, while Didier Deschamps has already handed the youngster his six caps for France.
Zaire-Emery is contracted at the Parc des Princes until 2029 and with a summer move likely to be a very expensive operation to get done, that should not stop Liverpool from attempting to sign the French talent ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
RMC Sport have stated in the past that the Reds have an interest in the 18-year-old, but so do others, such as Man City and Borussia Dortmund.
The French star would be perfect for Liverpool as he can be used in both the number six and number eight positions, bringing the same versatility as Alexis Mac Allister, which offers Slot many solutions to problems that may arise during a season.
Zaire-Emery would also fit the Dutch coach’s style of play as the youngster’s reading of the game is exceptional, he has the physicality to get around the pitch and does not lack technical ability.
From the board’s point of view, the PSG star’s age is perfect as the Merseyside club will likely make a profit on the player if they were to sell him on in four or five years.
Thierry Henry has described Zaire-Emery as a rare talent in the past and the Arsenal legend’s words should encourage Liverpool to make a move even more.
Thierry Henry says ‘sky is the limit’ for Warren Zaire-Emery
Henry has witnessed Zaire-Emery’s career from the get-go and understands the midfielder as much as anyone having worked with the PSG star as part of the France U21 squad
When asked about how good the 18-year-old can be, Henry said on CBS Sports: “Sky is the limit. I’ve never seen a player that young being so mature.
“Usually, you have youngsters that play forward that makes a difference. When you play in midfield for a team like Paris Saint-Germain, and you need to readjust, it’s rare to see a young player in that position.”
PSG won’t let Zaire-Emery go easily this summer as the French star is a very important part of Luis Enrique’s plans in Paris.
With a contract until 2029, the French champions hold all the cards, but that should not stop Liverpool from trying to get a deal done ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
