Liverpool are nearing full fitness within the squad as they prepare to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
The Reds have the chance to reach the final for a second successive season but will need to overcome a 1-0 first-leg deficit on Thursday.
With a trip to Plymouth on the calendar for Sunday, Liverpool are likely to go strong against a Spurs side who have been in poor form.
Having seen Joe Gomez return to training and both Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones make the matchday squad on Saturday, Arne Slot has plenty of his Liverpool squad fit and ready to go.
However, there is still one issue. Trent Alexander-Arnold asked to be substituted against Bournemouth and looks set to miss Thursday’s Carabao Cup game.
And as Liverpool look ahead to further fixtures down the road, journalist Paul Gorst has provided an update on the status of Alexander-Arnold’s problem, and who could replace him against Spurs.

Conor Bradley set for Tottenham start
Alexander-Arnold was woeful against Bournemouth on Saturday. But after the full-back went down with a second-half problem, there’s a chance he was playing with a knock all game.
And speaking to the Blood Red: Liverpool FC podcast on Monday, Gorst said that while it remains to be seen how long Trent will miss, Conor Bradley is expected to step in to start on Thursday.
“Judging from the conversations I’ve had today [Monday] around it, he’s going to have a scan today, Liverpool had yesterday off, so they’re waiting to discover the severity of the scan,” he says.
“But it’s not thought to be a real serious one which is good news. We’ll know more in the coming days and Slot will give an update on Wednesday.”

“He’d have certainly had Sunday off against Plymouth,” Gorst add.
“He probably might have featured on Thursday but if not it’s not the end of the world if Conor Bradley steps in, which we expect will be the case now.”
Will Alexander-Arnold be fit for the Merseyside Derby?
There is a chance that Bradley would have started Thursday’s game anyway. The ‘incredible’ 21-year-old was Slot’s choice for the first-leg in January.
And with Bradley in-line to play against Plymouth regardless, all eyes are now on next week’s Merseyside Derby in terms of Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool will have the chance to go nine points clear in the Premier League table and finally cash in their game in hand a week on Wednesday.
But according to Gorst, it still remains to be seen whether they’ll be able to count on Alexander-Arnold to feature at Goodison Park.
“We’ll see what Slot says with regards to the derby,” says the journalist. “The game is a little bit further away for him to stake a claim for that. But from the conversations I’ve had it’s not thought to be too serious.”
