Liverpool had a busy transfer deadline day in terms of outgoings, with a number of players leaving the club.
Supporters had hoped to see the Reds do some incoming business, but were left frustrated in that respect.
Instead, Liverpool focused on trimming down the first-team squad and ensuring that those youngsters who needed loans were given the opportunities to find them.
All in all, four players left Anfield on Friday, all doing so on a temporary basis.
As they begin their seasons away from the club, they’ll be hoping to catch the eye of Arne Slot and force a chance in the senior side next term.

Liverpool players wish Kaide Gordon well
One of the group to have been shipped out on Friday was Kaide Gordon. The 19-year-old is badly in need of game time after an horrific spell with injury.
Gordon did play three times for Liverpool last season, but only one of those came as a starter.
Having broken into the side in 2022, Gordon was deemed ‘phenomenal‘ by U21s coach Barry Lewtas. His talent was such that he started a Carabao Cup semi-final away to Arsenal at just 17.
However, two-and-a-half years on, Gordon’s progress has been beset by fitness problems. He’s now at an age where he really needs to play.

Hopefully the young winger will do that at Norwich City. After completing his move to Carrow Road just before Friday’s deadline, Gordon took to Instagram to celebrate.
“Really excited to join Norwich City, see you all soon,” wrote the teenager.
Some of Gordon’s teammates back at Liverpool were in the comments, with Harvey Elliott writing ‘good luck bro.’
Cody Gakpo was another to offer his support, saying ‘Let’s go,” and posting a couple of well chosen emojis.
Does Kaide Gordon have a future at Liverpool?
With Federico Chiesa arriving at Liverpool, Gordon was one of two young forwards who badly needed to move on deadline day.
The other was Ben Doak, and thankfully Doak got his move as well, joining Middlesbrough on loan.
While both players feel to have big potential and have played games for Liverpool, Doak is likely the one who has more of a chance of a long-term future at Anfield.
Nevertheless, Gordon was once considered as a genuine part of the first-team by Jurgen Klopp. If he can rediscover his best at Norwich, then we’ll see why that was.
If Gordon cannot catch the eye, though, it feels unlikely that he’ll be able make the grade at Liverpool in the long-term. Big season ahead, then. Good luck, Kaide!
