Liverpool travel to the Netherlands on Wednesday night to take on PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.
The clash is the last in the league phase of the competition for the Reds having won seven from seven so far and currently sit at the top of the table, needing just a point from their last fixture to end the round on top.
This is not a big worry for Arne Slot as Liverpool have already done the hard work in the competition, hence why the Dutch coach already has one eye on a tough trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Slot has left several of his big stars in Liverpool, who have been given the day off ahead of returning to training on Thursday morning; while Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones remain on the injury list for the Reds.
Nevertheless, a return to Holland will be a nice moment for Slot and the Liverpool boss will face a familiar foe in Peter Bosz, who has been impressed with the 46-year-old’s work on Merseyside.

There are not many in the football world who can say that they have not been impressed by the work Arne Slot has done at Anfield as Liverpool remain in contention for a quadruple this season.
The Merseyside club are currently six points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League after 22 matches and can confirm top spot in the Champions League standings with just a draw against PSV on Wednesday night.

Ahead of facing Liverpool, PSV head coach Peter Bosz has admitted that he watched the Reds more than any other club and that he finds it remarkable what Slot is doing at Anfield.
“Definitely. As a fan, I watch Liverpool more often than many other teams. They play very nice football,” the Dutch coach told the media via PSV.nl. “Arne Slot is doing particularly well. Going to another country is already a challenge, but going to a top club is even more difficult.
“I find it remarkable that Liverpool made few big purchases and that they just went with the existing group. That may also have been an advantage.”
Bosz’s PSV side got the better of Slot and Feyenoord last season in the Netherlands and the Eredivisie outfit will be hopeful of overcoming the Liverpool challenge on Wednesday night.
PSV’s Peter Bosz cracked the Arne Slot code last season
Peter Bosz became PSV Eindhoven boss ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and would go head-to-head with Slot’s Feyenoord team for the Eredivisie title last season.
PSV would cruise to becoming Dutch champions, finishing the campaign 13 points ahead of Feyenoord having lost just one match all season.
Bosz’s team would also have the better of Slot’s when the two teams met as the Eindhoven-based club would win the first clash 2-1 before playing out a 2-2 draw during the second part of the campaign.
Speaking about this to the press, Bosz admitted that he had the better of Slot last season while stating that he sees comparisons between his Feyenoord team and Liverpool.
“Last year we did, then we won at one point. But now it remains to be seen. I see comparisons between his Liverpool and his Feyenoord of last year when I look at his fielding,” The PSV boss said.
“Letting the striker drop out, wanting to create overloads in midfield, and letting the goalkeeper build up with him, these are all things he did at Feyenoord as well. The difference is that he does have better players with this Liverpool, of course.”
That may be the biggest factor when the two Dutch coaches meet again this week, although Slot’s decision to leave his big stars at home may balance the contest out.
