Napoli pushing to beat Liverpool to ‘crazy’ attacker who Antonio Conte has already called

Liverpool are yet to make a January signing, with all eyes seemingly set on the summer for when new players will be brought in.

Despite Luis Diaz being rumoured with a move to FC Barcelona and Real Madrid pushing to sign Real Madrid, no major incomings or outgoings are expected at Anfield this month, with the transfer window slamming shut next week.

Although Liverpool have been linked with Milos Kerkez, all signs seem to point towards the Anfield side ending January with no new additions, though this trend appears to be commonplace amongst many Premier League teams this window.

Yet for Italian giants Napoli, Antonio Conte’s side are pushing to sign one player who has been linked with Liverpool ahead of the January window’s closure in the coming days.

Napoli eager to sign Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are doing all they can to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi, with Conte already calling the Germany international to push through a deal for the Bundesliga forward.

Adeyemi has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks with the former RB Salzburg star noted for his ‘crazy’ speed, with the winger expected to leave Dortmund this year as part of the German side’s mass squad overhaul.

And Napoli could now end up being Adeyemi’s final destination, with Liverpool showing no sign of moving for the 23-year-old despite this January being the ideal time to bring the Munich-born attacker to Anfield.

Yet with Liverpool having numerous forward options and nobody set to leave before the window closes next week, signing Adeyemi will make little sense for Arne Slot, opening the door for Napoli to secure the winger’s signature.

Napoli also linked with Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa

Indeed, no Liverpool attacker is likely to leave Anfield this January, but that hasn’t stopped links from circulating surrounding certain players, with Federico Chiesa one such name who has been rumoured with an exit, specifically to Napoli.

The Italian international has been eyed as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who this month left Napoli for PSG in what has been one of the biggest deals of the January transfer window so far.

However, with Napoli zoning in on Adeyemi, Chiesa seems to be off the table for the Serie A leaders, who could end the month by bringing the German international to Italy in what might be an exciting deal for Conte’s side.
