Liverpool eased to victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday to maintain their six-point lead in the Premier League.
The Reds were heavy favourites to win at Anfield, with an enormous 34-point gap between the teams at kick-off.
And Liverpool wasted no time in ensuring that would be 37 by the day’s end as Dominik Szoboszlai fired home a brilliant early goal.
From there the Reds put their foot on the pedal and blitzed in two more goals before half-time at Anfield.
With the job done and dusted, the second-half was a more relaxed affair. Cody Gakpo scored his second of the game before Ipswich got one back through Jacob Greaves at the end.
Three more points for Liverpool and one game closer to glory. And after the game, head coach Arne Slot was spotted lapping up the adoration of the Anfield crowd.

Arne Slot salutes Liverpool support
Slot would have been hoping that Liverpool would be able to start the game quickly on Saturday.
Arsenal struggled against Ipswich at the Emirates recently and Kieran McKenna’s team can make life tough if given the chance.
A quick start to dampen their morale was crucial and when Liverpool got it through Szoboszlai, a win already felt inevitable.
In truth there could have been a few more goals for the Reds, but Slot will have been happy with his team’s work regardless.
That certainly looked to be the case anyway. As spotted by journalist James Pearce, Slot was seen saluting the Kop at the final whistle.
“Arne Slot salutes the Kop as his name rings around Anfield,” Pearce posted on X at the end of the match. “Another game ticked off in pursuit of the big prize.”
Liverpool ready to rotate against PSV
All Liverpool need to do from here on in is focus on winning their games. With just 16 games now left to play, the finish line is coming into sight.
After they blew Nottingham Forest away 5-0 on Saturday, Liverpool face a tough trip to Bournemouth next weekend.
But, before then, the Champions League once again takes centre stage as the Reds travel back to Slot’s home land to take on PSV.
It will likely be a slightly emotional visit for Slot as he comes back to his homeland for the first time in a football setting since taking the Liverpool job.
And after a stroll in the chilly Anfield sun on Saturday, the boss will likely rotate his Liverpool squad for the occasion. Arne is enjoying himself and why not? Now time for a trip down memory lane.
