It did not take long for Luis Diaz to become a fan favourite amongst Reds supporters.
Liverpool signed Diaz from Porto during the January transfer window of 2022 and it was not hard to see why as the winger displayed his immense speed and trickier from the get-go.
This helped the Anfield faithful fall in love with the Colombian fast and that has only grown stronger throughout the 125 matches he has featured in on Merseyside, in which he has produced 36 goals and 16 assists.
Diaz remains a key part of Arne Slot’s squad and has played an important role in the impressive start the Dutch coach has made in England.
Barcelona have been attracted by Diaz’s performances across recent seasons but with a contract at the Premier League leaders until 2027, Liverpool and its fans will not let the Colombian go easily.
The 28-year-old has terrorised position defences for many years now and Jarell Quansah has made a very revealing comment regarding the former Porto star, sharing what some opposition players have told him.

Liverpool’s rivals love Luis Diaz chant
Fernando Torres, Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard are some names that have been given incredible chants by Liverpool fans over the last two decades as supporters found a way to give extra encouragement to their team’s biggest stars.
From the current group of players, Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dijk have all had clever songs created for them, but Luis Diaz’s is the one that stands out to opposition players.
According to Quansah on the latest episode of Hot or Not, the defender stated that rival stars come up to him to compliment the Colombian talent’s chant.
“The opposition players have come up to me and said it’s probably the best chant they’ve heard as well,” the centre-back said.
Created to the sound “Bella Ciao”, Diaz’s chant is a favourite amongst Liverpool supporters and it is very noticeable when the winger has scored or has had a big action on the field.
