January is usually a quiet month for Liverpool when it comes to the transfer window.
Big signings such as Luis Suarez and Virgil van Dijk have arrived mid-season in the past but that is often a rarity for most of the big football clubs around Europe.
With Arne Slot’s team currently leading the way in the Premier League, naturally, there is a lot of talk about Liverpool and how they will complete their journey to the title.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a name that has been linked to Anfield in recent days, while Joshua Kimmich is a player tipped to help solve issues in the number six position.
It remains to be seen if the Reds will add to their squad over the coming weeks, but outgoings will almost be a certainty.
Liverpool will consider loan moves for Jayden Danns and James McConnell

Fresh off the back of featuring in Liverpool’s 4-0 FA Cup win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday, The Athletic’s James Pearce has reported that the Merseyside club are considering sending Jayden Danns and James McConnell out on loan for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
Both youngsters are yet to experience first-team football outside of the Liverpool set-up and it is clearly something the Premier League leaders are considering to further their development.
Danns has gained a growing reputation as a goalscorer at Anfield having come off the bench to net the Reds’ third against Accrington.
This follows his exploits last year under Jurgen Klopp when the striker impressed during the second half of the 2023/24 season, scoring a brace against Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round.
As for McConnell, since making his debut for Liverpool in 2023, the 20-year-old has also built up a positive reputation around Merseyside.
The midfielder was handed multiple chances to impress last season by Klopp, with the highlight seeing him come off the bench for 33 minutes of action in the Carabao Cup final.
A loan move would be very beneficial to both players’ careers and only time will tell what clubs are interested in giving the young duo a chance.

Liverpool duo’s ‘mentality’ receives praise from Arne Slot
Following Liverpool’s FA Cup triumph over Accrington, Slot confessed uncertainty regarding the future of Danns, while praising the ‘mentality’ of the younger players in his squad to training and the rare opportunities they are given to play at the highest level.
“The last thing (going out on loan in January), I don’t know at the moment. For us, it (today) was all about the players who hadn’t played that much yet, to give them playing time.
“And we gave some playing time to a few youngsters,” Slot told the media via Liverpool.com.
“What I like most about him (Danns) and most of the academy players is the mentality they have. That is a big compliment to him and definitely a big compliment to our youth academy because if you are a youngster and come to the first team, sometimes you’re used in a way you might not expect.”
