Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow as they aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Reds are coming on the back of successive draws against Newcastle United and Fulham and could drop down to second in the table before they kick a ball if Chelsea beat Everton later today.

Enzo Maresca’s side are breathing down Liverpool’s necks, making the game against Tottenham a must-win clash away from home to maintain their lead at the top.
And it looks like Darwin Nunez is fired up for the game as a video posted on Liverpool’s social media channels showed his precision in front of goal.
Liverpool players in awe of Darwin Nunez training moment

The Uruguayan hasn’t really set the world alight this season as he led the line for Liverpool in the absence of Diogo Jota.
However, Nunez made the most of his start against Southampton in midweek as he scored the opening goal in the Reds’ 2-1 win at St Mary’s.
Ahead of the game against Tottenham, the Liverpool players undertook a ‘Who hits the bauble first’ challenge as seen below in the video.
The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold all had multiple attempts and came close, but it was Nunez who managed to do so first, after which the whole squad began to chant ‘Nunez, Nunez, Nunez!’
Nunez’s stats this season
Nunez has scored just four goals in all competitions for Liverpool this season and has once again proved that he can’t be completely relied upon as the main number nine.
| Darwin Nunez stats | Apps | Goals | Assists | Mins played |
| Premier League | 12 | 2 | 2 | 643′ |
| UEFA Champions League | 6 | 1 | – | 306′ |
| EFL Cup | 3 | 1 | 1 | 199′ |
Slot praised the Liverpool fans for rallying behind Nunez, but he needs to find his feet in front of goal to repay the club’s faith in him.
With Liverpool looking to make a move for Joao Pedro, Nunez is playing for his future and needs to find his scoring boots in the coming months to stay at the club beyond the summer.
