Everything Arne Slot has touched so far at Liverpool has turned to gold as he continues to endure a record-breaking start to life at Anfield.
The Reds lead the way in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League and have lost just once in 24 games across all competitions this season.
In terms of player development, the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo have shown clear signs of improvement under Slot, which is a sign that his man-management skills are working.
For Jarell Quansah, however, the situation isn’t as straightforward as it is for some of his other teammates.
Jarell Quansah has flattered to deceive at Liverpool under Arne Slot

Quansah enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season under Jurgen Klopp last time out and made 34 appearances across all competitions, with 17 of those coming in the Premier League.
This season, however, the rub of the green hasn’t gone his way and he’s not completely absolved of blame.
While he couldn’t have done much before being substituted at half-time during Slot’s first Premier League game in charge of the club against Ipswich, Quansah hasn’t looked assured whenever he’s featured this season.
Against Newcastle United, he was stationed as a right-back initially and was run ragged by Anthony Gordon before eventually going back to his usual centre-back spot.
Yesterday against Southampton, Quansah got lucky as the referee waved play on after he appeared to foul Matheus Fernandes on the edge of the box in the closing stages of the game.
What next for Quansah?
The fact of the matter is that Liverpool haven’t refreshed their backline for nearly four years now, with Ibrahima Konate their last permanent defensive signing.
The Frenchman and Virgil van Dijk are undisputed starters and Joe Gomez’s versatility means he’s above Quansah in the pecking order, so the Englishman faces a difficult period as he aims to prove his worth.
Gary McAllister described Quansah as an ‘unbelievable’ player and he certainly proved his worth last season under Klopp.
It’s not to say Quansah has been outright bad or runs the risk of being offloaded, but his current form is surely emerging as a cause for concern and it remains to be seen how Slot coaches him through his troubles.
