European club considering Mohamed Salah move after latest Liverpool contract comments

Mohamed Salah has caused quite the stir this week after coming out about his current contract situation at Liverpool.

The Egyptian international told reporters after the Reds’ 3-2 win against Southampton that he had yet to been offered a new contract with the winger’s current deal set to expire at the end of this season, with Barcelona interested in signing Salah.

With Liverpool fans left fuming at FSG over their approach to Salah’s new contract, the Anfield side find themselves under pressure to award the 32-year-old attacker with a new deal, with the forward arguably the best player in Europe this season.

Yet one club is now interested in signing Salah since the Liverpool star made his comments.

Galatasaray eyeing Salah transfer after contract bombshell

According to Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler, Galatasaray are thinking about a move for Salah as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, with the Super Lig giants plotting another big transfer for 2025.

Galatasaray have taken their signings to a new level in the last three years, resulting in two league titles and some impressive results in Europe, and Salah could become the Istanbul-based side’s latest big target in the market.

Celikler said: “Even if Osimhen doesn’t stay, Galatasaray will get a player of that level. Because they’ve seen those places. The eye is afraid of what it sees.

“I don’t think anyone lower will get him. There won’t be a serious loss of level after this. Galatasaray is really thinking about Mohamed Salah. It’s an extremely difficult transfer, but they are thinking about it.”

Where could Salah move to in 2025 if he leaves Liverpool?

With Galatasaray now entering the chat for Salah’s signature with Barcelona already in the mix, the race to sign the Liverpool superstar could be about to get very interesting after the winger’s contract comments.

Al-Hilal have been linked with Salah with the Saudi Arabian giants keen to bring in the Egyptian superstar ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, a competition that the 32-year-old might be interested in playing in this summer.

Indeed, Salah won’t be short of suitors if the winger were to leave Merseyside this summer, and Galatasaray could be a real option for the attacker if the Turkish giants can put together an appealing package.
