The November international window is upon us, with Liverpool heading into the final two-week break top of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
A 2-0 win against Aston Villa coupled with Manchester City losing their fourth game in a row to Brighton & Hove Albion put Liverpool five points clear at the top of the Premier League after 11 games, with Arne Slot having quite the start with the Reds.

With Michael Owen a fan of Slot’s managerial style at Liverpool, the Dutch coach has adapted to the Merseyside giants with ease heading into the final international break of 2024, where silverware could be a real prospect this season.
And former Manchester United star John O’Shea has now said one Liverpool player is quickly becoming an inspiration for his national team.

Caoimhin Kelleher gives Republic of Ireland ‘confidence’ boost after Liverpool run
Speaking to the Irish News, the Republic of Ireland assistant coach noted how Caoimhin Kelleher is a player who is giving other players in the national team a boost due to his impressive form for the best team in the Premier League.
The £20m goalkeeper has been exceptional for the Reds since replacing the injured Alisson Becker, with Ibrahima Konate praising Kelleher after Liverpool’s win against Villa, where the Cork-born shot-stopper again kept a clean sheet and impressed between the sticks.
And O’Shea believes this form will inspire confidence for Ireland in this international break, with the former defender saying: “It’s just a boost to the confidence to know that you have a player playing in the Premier League that are comfortably top of the table.
“It was an important thing for me in my career, when you look back and you have a keeper you have a lot of confidence in, so I’m sure the players and the squad have a lot of confidence in all our keepers but especially one that is playing and is at the top of the Premier League.”

Kelleher will want to impress for Ireland this international break
With Kelleher making an error for Ireland in their last game against Greece, the 25-year-old goalkeeper will be keen to show his country just how good he really is ahead of this month’s international ties against Finland and England.
Hailed by Stuart Pearce as going under the radar at Liverpool this season, Kelleher’s form has been sensational for the Reds, with the Irish star showing why he’s the standout best backup keeper in the Premier League.
And for Ireland, Kelleher will want to put on a show in this international break, especially later this week at Wembley Stadium in what will be a thrilling game against England.
