Liverpool cruised to a 2-0 win against Aston Villa to move five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez were enough to see off Unai Emery’s side, who failed to get into the game in the second half after going close to scoring before the interval.
A handful of players stood out for Liverpool, but Ibrahima Konate and sent a special message to one of his teammates for his vital contribution on the night.
Ibrahima Konate lauds Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher

Caoimhin Kelleher has been in fine form between the sticks for Liverpool this season as he continues to deputise for the injured Alisson Becker.
The Irish goalkeeper didn’t have much to do in the second half but made a couple of fantastic saves before the interval to keep Liverpool ahead.
His save against Diego Carlos, in particular, was superb as he didn’t have much time to react to the defender’s close-range header.
Speaking after the game, Konate praised Kelleher’s saves as the Reds secured another victory and a clean sheet.
”We have to say thank you to Caoimhin,” said the Frenchman on LFCTV.
“He made two important saves. Since I am here he works so hard. I am very happy for him.”
Stuart Pearce also praised Kelleher for his saves against Aston Villa as the goalkeeper showed his class once again on a big night at Anfield.
Kelleher’s stats this season
The young goalkeeper has performed admirably in Alisson’s absence and recorded his second clean sheet in the Premier League against Villa.

| Premier League | 5 | 4 | 2 | 450′ |
| UEFA Champions League | 2 | – | 2 | 180′ |

However, with the Brazilian set to return after the international break, Kelleher’s stint as Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper is set to come to an end, at least for the time being.
