Owen praises Slot’s ‘demeanor’ as Liverpool manager

Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Liverpool star noted how impressed he’s been with Slot with how the Dutch coach has presented himself on the touchline for the Reds and whilst talking to the media.

Slot’s style is a few tones down to what Liverpool fans had been used to with Jurgen Klopp, with the iconic Anfield manager known for his passion and firey personality regardless of the game for the Merseyside giants.

And Owen likes how different Slot is compared to Klopp, with the pundit saying when asked about the Liverpool boss: “He’s impressive isn’t he [Arne Slot]. He looks in control. I like his demeanor. He’s not trying to be Jurgen Klopp.

“He’s cool, he’s calculated, he’s classy, he looks like he’s in control and so does this Liverpool team at the moment. I know it’s early in the season but that little gap they’ve opened up now, they’re getting very excited already.”

Slot is exactly who Liverpool needed after Klopp

Replacing Klopp was a challenge no Liverpool fan thought was possible this summer, yet Slot has stepped up to the plate in a big way and taken the Reds into a new and exciting direction.

The appointment from Feyenoord has evolved Liverpool into a more efficient side who have dropped their intensity levels under Klopp to become a more cohesive unit and a team that are hard for opposing players to break down.

Indeed, Slot’s first three months at Liverpool have been quite exceptional, and fans are now starting to dream that this could be a historic season if the Anfield side can avoid major injuries this campaign.
