Alisson Becker’s long-term future has Liverpool has emerged as an interesting topic of debate in recent months.
The Brazilian is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in world football when fully fit but has often struggled with injury problems during his time at Anfield.
Additionally, the emergence of Caoimhin Kelleher and the impending arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili have thrown his future into doubt, while interest from the Middle East remains despite Alisson himself rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia last summer.
However, David Lynch has shared an intriguing update on his situation as Saudi continue to keep tabs on him.
Liverpool won’t stand in Alisson’s way if Saudi return with a bid

Liverpool are well stacked between the sticks, with Kelleher and Vitezslav Jaros performing admirably this season in the opportunities they’ve had so far.
Alisson is undoubtedly the number one goalkeeper at Anfield, but Lynch believes the Reds won’t stop him if Saudi Arabia return with a tempting offer in the summer of 2025.
“I would say it’s a possibility that Alisson could leave next summer,” said David Lynch on Anfield Agenda’s YouTube channel.
“I wouldn’t say it’s guaranteed because a lot is up in the air, but if that Saudi offer comes and he just decides it’s the right time, Liverpool won’t stand in his way if they get a decent fee.
“So that is a genuine possibility that Liverpool have to contend with.”
Signed for £67m in the summer of 2018, the goalkeeper has won seven major trophies at Anfield, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2026.
When is Alisson returning to action for Liverpool?
The Brazilian was substituted in Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Crystal Palace with a hamstring problem and hasn’t featured since.
Slot confirmed that Alisson will be back after the international break, although he didn’t put an exact time frame on his return.
With games against Real Madrid and Manchester City on the horizon, the 32-year-old will look to use the ongoing international break to complete his rehab and return to action swiftly.
