Liverpool fans are sweating a little over the futures of some of their very best players this summer.
Although Jurgen Klopp’s unexpected exit at the end of the season has now become a little easier to digest, it has left question marks aplenty.
With Arne Slot beginning his reign, it very much has the feeling of a slate being wiped clean at Anfield.
If any of Klopp’s stalwarts in the Liverpool squad were looking for a change of scenery, then this would probably be the summer to make that happen.
As a result, rumours that Alisson Becker could leave will have been especially worrying for supporters.

Alisson Becker future becomes clear
Alisson was quite possibly the best player of Klopp’s time with Liverpool. The Brazilian elevated the Reds to a whole new level after being signed in 2018.
In the six years since, Alisson has arguably become the best goalkeeper in the world and is so, so important to Liverpool.
But with Klopp going, rumours started to emerge that Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are pushing hard to sign Alisson.
As recently as last week there were further claims that Alisson’s agents were still talking to Al Nassr about a potential move this summer.

However, throughout the whole saga, it has seemed as though the 31-year-old was keen to stay put at Liverpool. Alisson rejected an offer from the Saudis back in April and has not wavered ever since.
Still, with the financial might of the PIF backed clubs there appeared to remain a possibility that Alisson’s head could be turned.
Now though, there has been a significant update. Al Nassr were always said to be the side who would push to get Liverpool’s No.1 this summer.
But as journalist Fabrizio Romano reported early on Wednesday morning, Al Nassr are set to sign Bento Krepski, Alisson’s No.2 for Brazil at the Copa America.
Bento transfer is good news for Liverpool
With Bento heading to Riyadh, this chapter can hopefully now be put to bed. Bento is an excellent goalkeeper and will surely be the No.1 for Al Nassr.
Consequently, there’s no reason for them to now push for Alisson at all. After rebuffing attempts, the big man is staying between the sticks at Liverpool.
Of course, Al Nassr are not the only club with deep pockets in the Saudi Pro League. However, Al Ahli have Edouard Mendy and Ali Hilal boast Yassine Bounou as their No.1.
Al Ittihad could possibly do with a new goalkeeper but it seems as though Man City’s Ederson is much more likely to leave England than Alisson. That seems like the more probable scenario at this point.
So, with Alisson expected back at the AXA Training Centre over the next week, Reds fans can now relax a little safer in the knowledge that he’s going nowhere.
