Liverpool enjoyed one of their quietest summer transfer windows in some time earlier this year, yet the lack of business has done nothing to disrupt the Reds’ form.
Having made just one signing for this season in Federico Chiesa, Liverpool have been arguably the best team in Europe, with Arne Slot guiding the Anfield side to the top of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League heading into the November international break.

With Chris Sutton naming Liverpool as Manchester City’s biggest rivals for the Premier League title, the Merseyside giants will feel confident that they can go all the way this season after such an impressive start under Slot.
Yet one AC Milan player rumoured with a move to Liverpool could now be staying with the Italian giants for the long haul.

AC Milan in talks to hand Liverpool-linked Tijjani Reijnders new contract
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Milan are in talks to award Tijjani Reijnders a new contract lasting until 2030, with the Dutch international attracting interest from the Premier League after a fantastic season with the Rossoneri.
Liverpool have been linked with Reijnders in recent weeks with the midfielder an ideal option to join the Reds as a January signing, with Arne Slot in the market for depth in the position heading into the second-half of the season.
With an asking price of £50m according to FootballTransfers, Reijnders would be quite the investment for the Reds in the January transfer window, with Liverpool also interested in LOSC Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi.
Indeed, a midfielder would be ideal for Liverpool in the New Year, as well as a new centre-back to compete with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, yet Reijnders could now be off the table for the Reds with Milan in contract talks with the Dutchman.

Liverpool could consider sudden swoop for Reijnders
At 26-years-old, Reijnders is at the perfect age to make a big career move after 18 impressive months at Milan, with the Netherlands international showing against Liverpool earlier this season that he has the quality to compete at the highest level.
And with the January transfer window just under two months away from opening, Liverpool should consider a sudden but effective swoop for Reijnders, who could be well-suited to Slot’s plans heading into 2025.
The Dutch star was impressed against Liverpool in September and could relish in the chance of joining a Premier League giant like the Reds, and Reijnders could turn down a new contract from Milan if it means heading to Anfield next year.
