Mohamed Salah once again proved his worth to Arne Slot as he netted the winner for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Brighton.
Salah deserves a two-year deal at Liverpool according to Micah Richards, with the winger having secured his side’s comeback victory over the Seagulls.
Ferdi Kadioglu opened the scoring at Anfield, but Cody Gakpo and Salah ensured another three points for Slot and his players.
Liverpool moved two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table with the win, with the defending champions having lost by the same scoreline at Bournemouth.
Salah now has seven Premier League goals this season, behind only Erling Haaland (11), Chris Wood and Bryan Mbeumo (8).

Mohamed Salah proves Tony Cascarino wrong at Liverpool
His superb start to the new campaign comes after a disappointing end to the last one, with Salah struggling for form in Jurgen Klopp’s final moments in charge.
The turnaround from the attacker has really shocked Tony Cascarino, who said on talkSPORT: “Salah is the player now that Liverpool fans have loved over the years. Because last year, certainly the second part of last season, Salah was so off his game.

“Obviously he had got injured with Egypt out in the Africa Cup of Nations, he came back, he never seemed right at the end of last season. I thought that was the last we were going to see of Salah, I really did. And he’s come back, and his attitude has been superb this season.”
And discussing his goal versus Brighton, he noted: “Terrific finish. And it’s from a player that the game doesn’t affect him while he’s been playing. Salah misses chances but it doesn’t affect him. He still will get good numbers. Think of his number every season, it’s been great.”
Mohamed Salah thrives under Arne Slot
Cascarino did criticise Alexander-Arnold and Alexis Mac Allister, but Slot will ultimately be delighted that his side left with all three points.
Liverpool now boast 19 Premier League goals this season, having conceded just six times, in what has been a stunning start from Slot.

And crucial to his early success has been Salah, with the Egyptian winger adding five assists to his seven goals.
But with every match that passes, and indeed with every goal, the Anfield fans will become more and more worried about his contract situation.
His current deal expires at the end of the season, with no renewal in sight for the 32-year-old at this moment in time.
Along with his goal against the Seagulls, Salah won five of his nine duels, made two key passes, and won four fouls for the hosts, as per Sofascore.
