Mohamed Salah scored his ninth goal of the season as Liverpool beat Brighton 2-1 in their Premier League clash at Anfield.
Micah Richards says Salah needs a new two-year deal after his match-winning strike against Brighton, with the winger running down his Liverpool contract.
Salah will see his current Anfield deal expire next summer, with his teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the same situation.
The winger found the back of the net with a stunning strike in the 72nd minute, just two minutes after Cody Gakpo’s equaliser.
Salah now has nine goals from his 15 appearances in all competitions this season, having also registered seven assists.

Mohamed Salah messages Liverpool fans after win vs Brighton
He has been a crucial player under Arne Slot, with the attacker stepping up when his side and manager needed him against Brighton.
And Salah is clearly delighted to have made that impact, with the Egypt international now writing on X: “Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there’s only one champion in the end. That’s what we want.

“Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.”
Saudi Pro League clubs want to sign Mohamed Salah
Salah has been a phenomenal servant to Liverpool over the years, having joined from Roma for just £34million.
It may have seemed a somewhat high figure at the time, particularly given his failures at Chelsea, but neither Salah nor Liverpool have looked back since his 2017 transfer.
The Anfield faithful adore the Egyptian, and do not want to lose him anytime soon, but their fears will unsurprisingly increase as the months go on.

But Salah has long been admired by Saudi Arabian clubs, with their interest likely to continue into the January transfer window.
Salah isn’t thinking about a new Liverpool contract, with time seemingly running out for the Reds to persuade him to stay at Anfield.
