Liverpool will take a break from their Premier League title charge this week as they take on Brighton in League Cup action.
Didi Hamann says Liverpool are title favourites ahead of Man City, with Arne Slot having just guided the Reds to a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah found the back of the net for Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, where Darwin Nunez was praised by Gary Neville.
But Slot is likely to heavily rotate his squad for the midweek trip to Brighton, with the Amex Stadium hosting the round of 16 clash.
Liverpool then welcome the Seagulls to Anfield in Premier League action on Saturday, but Slot will only be focusing on the next game.

Arne Slot and Liverpool praised by Fabian Hurzeler
His counterpart Fabian Hurzeler has been impressed by Slot and Liverpool this season, with the Brighton boss expecting a very tough League Cup match.
“Liverpool for sure are one of the best teams in the world at the moment,” he said in his pre-match press conference.

“We are convinced that we can do it but if we don’t have the self-belief, we can’t do it. We have to be good in possession and out of possession.
“My team has the potential to be very good. We have respect for Liverpool, but we always have chances in the Premier League.
Fabian Hurzeler provides triple Brighton injury update vs Liverpool
Slot simply has to rotate his squad for the trip to the south coast, with injuries now beginning to take their toll on the Merseyside club.
Key players Alisson, Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa have all been sidelined recently.

Several youngsters could now come into the fold against the Seagulls, which was often the approach deployed by Jurgen Klopp in last season’s League Cup.
Brighton meanwhile also have injury problems of their own, with Hurzeler explaining that Jack Hinshelwood and Yankuba Minteh are available but will be assessed, with Lewis Dunk being assessed daily due to a small muscle issue.
It is another huge test for Slot and his coaching staff, who aside from a 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest have passed every test thus far.
