Liverpool have won nine of their first ten games of the 2024/25 season, with Arne Slot already finding a system and a starting XI that he trusts with the players he has.
Inheriting Jurgen Klopp’s squad from last year, the Dutch coach has made small tweaks to ensure Liverpool have evolved naturally from their former manager, with the Reds enjoying fantastic results in the process.
Whilst the likes of Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been at their usual world-class best, Slot has managed to get big performances out of Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch, two players who had mixed performances under Klopp who now look like world-beaters.
Not every player at Liverpool has thrived under Slot, though, and here are three names who should be looking to leave on loan in the January market.

Tyler Morton
After two ‘outstanding’ years out on loan in the Championship with Blackburn Rovers and Hull City respectively, this season felt like Tyler Morton’s moment to finally break into the Liverpool first-team.
However, the England youth international has struggled to gain Slot’s trust in the first ten games of the season, even though all signs pointed to Morton having a role to play at Liverpool after a £20m approach from Bayer Leverkusen was rejected in the summer.
At 21-years-old, Morton knows he is too good to be sat on the bench every week for Liverpool playing the occasional minutes here and there, and a loan move in January to a top side could be in the pipeline for the midfielder.

Vitezslav Jaros
A Liverpool player who is currently in the spotlight having made his debut for the Reds last weekend against Crystal Palace, Vitezslav Jaros is an obvious candidate for someone who should be looking to leave Anfield on loan in January.
Alisson Becker’s injury will promote Jaros to second-choice goalkeeper for potentially two months, with the Czech Republic international now in line for more appearances for Liverpool via the League Cup and maybe the UEFA Champions League.
Yet once January rolls around and Alisson is back from injury, Jaros will have that itch to keep playing regular senior football, and a loan move could be on the cards with more Liverpool experience under his belt.

Jayden Danns
Jayden Danns broke onto the scene in a big way last season with the Liverpool academy graduate impressing under Klopp as the Reds looked to the youngsters to cope with a severe injury crisis.
And with Danns now back to full fitness and set to join first-team training under Slot, a January loan move could be on the cards for the 18-year-old attacker, who showed last season that he is already there when it comes to playing regular senior football.
With a few months to go between now and the transfer window opening, Danns has time on his hands to gain a few minutes with Liverpool before looking to leave for the remainder of the season, where the teenager could make a real impact out on loan.
