Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk conceded his first goal of the season as the Reds lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
Van Dijk had helped Liverpool keep clean sheets in their first three matches under Arne Slot, where they beat Ipswich, Brentford and Man United.
But a narrow loss to Nottingham Forest at Anfield has left Arne Slot knowing the difficulty of the Premier League.
Van Dijk has been crucial to Slot’s fine start so far, but he will be disappointed with the goal conceded to Forest attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Slot was frustrated with the loss, which leaves Liverpool second in the Premier League table behind the unbeaten Man City.

Can Virgil van Dijk help Liverpool bounce back against AC Milan?
Van Dijk is looking back to his best in a Liverpool shirt, although worryingly his contract at Anfield will expire next summer.
Keeping him at Anfield for as long as possible should now be a priority, with the centre-back certain to be crucial to any success Slot may enjoy at the club.
For now, however, he must bounce back quickly from the shock Premier League loss, particularly with AC Milan having just beaten Venezia 4-0.

He has impressed since taking over from Jurgen Klopp, but there is no chance of Premier League success if further home losses arrive on a regular basis this season.
