Liverpool manager Arne Slot left it late in the transfer window for his first signings as manager of the club.
Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa have arrived from Valencia and Juventus respectively, although the former will join Liverpool next summer.
Jamie Carragher loves the signing of Chiesa, who is certain to bolster Slot’s attacking options at Anfield this season.
There are now six senior forwards at the club following his arrival, with Chiesa, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez all available for selection.
Ben Doak provides yet another option in the final third, although Slot could decide to sell one of his attackers before the window closes.

Al-Hilal make bid for Liverpool target Kingsley Coman
There is also the possibility of yet another attacker joining the Reds, with Liverpool interested in Kingsley Coman.
But Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has issued an update on the Bayern Munich man, reporting that Al-Hilal have offered €40million (£34million) for his services.

Plettenberg added that no decision has been made on the 28-year-old winger, but that Bayern are willing to lose him.
Why Liverpool are now unlikely to move for Kingsley Coman
Time is running out for the attacker to leave the German giants, where he has been since 2015, having initially joined on loan from Juventus.
Coman boasts a stunning honours list, having won several league titles across his spells at Bayern Munich, Juventus and PSG.

The winger would undoubtedly be welcomed by the Anfield faithful, having also been a runner-up with France at Euro 2016 and the 2022 World Cup.
His experience speaks for itself, with the 2020 Champions League winner certain to add another fantastic option to Slot’s ranks.
But the signature of Chiesa means a late move for Coman is extremely unlikely, with the Dutchman perhaps focusing on other positions before the deadline closes.
