Liverpool are fully focused on what can be done in terms of adding to their squad over the next couple of days.
The Reds have not done nearly enough business during the transfer window so far and could do with one or two new faces before Friday’s deadline.
They look set to get at least one through the door, with Federico Chiesa on the verge of joining from Juventus. Beyond that, it remains to be seen whether there are any more additions at Anfield.
Once the window closes on Friday, though, Liverpool’s focus must then switch. They have three enormous contract situations to sort out.
One of those belongs to Mohamed Salah. And as time slowly ticks down on his deal, the Egyptian has made a rare public appearance in the press.

Mohamed Salah speaks out on his future
If Liverpool were in any doubt over whether Salah is able to continue at an elite level into his thirties, then they have been given an emphatic answer this season.
Having scored twice and provided one assist in the opening two Premier League games, Salah looks just as good as ever under Arne Slot.
This has led to a renewed feeling amongst many that Liverpool should be doing what they can to keep the 32-year-old for years into the future.
However, there is also a bit of an air of resignation. With Salah on such big terms with Liverpool, it seems unlikely that FSG will shell out similar money to sign him up again.

From Mo’s point of view, he is clearly very relaxed about the situation. It has been noticeable how happy the Egypt captain has looked around the AXA Training Centre this summer.
And speaking to Sky Sports about why that may be, Salah has admitted that he is simply focusing on enjoying what is currently set to be his last year as a Liverpool player.
“I think with time you get a bit more wisdom, I would say,” says the No.11. “I just came before the season, I was like ok, I have one year left, let’s enjoy it. Don’t think about the contract now, don’t think about anything and really just enjoy it.
“I don’t want to think about next year, don’t want to think about the future. Let’s enjoy the last year and let’s see.”
Is Mohamed Salah leaving Liverpool?
You can see Salah’s words here really bearing out in his actions. The Egyptian King looks happy, relaxed and back to his best.
It had been a difficult end to last season for Mo under Jurgen Klopp, but he really does look revitalised and ready to take the Premier League by storm once again.
Having said that, this really does sound like the beginning of a long goodbye from Salah. It feels very much like the next steps have already been planned.
From a Liverpool point of view, that is obviously incredibly disappointing. There’s little doubt that Mo could go on and on for years with the Reds and, in our opinion, that’s exactly what should happen.
Of course, you can never say never and hopefully things are moving behind the scenes to tie Salah down. But it just feels a little like Mo is taking his time to enjoy the last of what has been an epic journey with Liverpool. He is right. Let’s just enjoy it while we can.
