Liverpool manager Arne Slot is in dreamland right now after winning his first competitive match at Anfield against Brentford.

Slot is among five new Premier League managers, with the Dutchman certainly enjoying life in England so far.

Liverpool beat Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road in Slot’s first match in charge, before replicating that scoreline at home to Brentford.

Jamie Carragher likes Slot at Liverpool so far, with the Dutchman also impressing the fans of his new club after taking over from Jurgen Klopp.

They sang his praises during the meeting with the Bees at Anfield, where Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah grabbed the goals.

It was by no means a thrilling display from the hosts, but they got the job done, with two goals scored and a clean sheet.

And the Liverpool fans were clearly satisfied with Slot, who walked onto the pitch at full-time and waved to the Kop, with the supporters responding with a cheer.

That is according to journalist Ian Doyle, who wrote on X that Slot has the Liverpool fans on his side already.

It was another superb display from the Liverpool attackers, who are certainly playing in unison with one another under Slot.

The new manager has created plenty of excitement with his approach, with Slot now picking up a very important win given it was his first competitive match at Anfield.

Any nerves should now be out of the way, although another massive match approaches as Liverpool take on Man United next.

Slot brings his group to Old Trafford, who have won one and lost one of their two Premier League matches so far.

The Reds meanwhile are joint-top of the league table with six points, alongside Man City, Brighton and Arsenal.

While the new manager will be delighted with his attackers, he can also be grateful for his defence, who have now kept successive clean sheets, an area in which Jurgen Klopp struggled last season.
