Alisson helped Arne Slot get his Liverpool tenure off to a successful start as they defeated Ipswich Town 2-0.
The Liverpool defence impressed at Portman Road, with Andy Robertson now ‘pain-free’ after his recent injury struggles.
He lined up at left-back, with Virgil van Dijk named in the PFA Team of the Year shortly after impressing at centre-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold started at right-back, with Jarell Quansah taking off at half-time for Ibrahima Konate after starting beside Van Dijk.
Slot has wasted no time in making brutal decisions at Liverpool, withdrawing the young centre-back after his lack of duels won at Ipswich.

Worryingly, the likes of Everton’s Jordan Pickford (13) and Manchester United’s Andre Onana (nine) were ahead of Alisson.
