Liverpool got their new Premier League season off to the ideal start as they beat Ipswich Town 2-0 at Portman Road.
Attacking duo Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah found the back of the net, with both goals arriving in the second half.
Liverpool have been told Jota is more important than Salah, although Arne Slot looks set to rely heavily on the pair this season.
The Reds were made to work hard for an opening day win, with their newly-promoted opponents giving them no time in the first half.
But Slot clearly had a positive impact on his Liverpool players at half-time, with the visitors coming out of the blocks fast.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah praised after Liverpool win
Attempting to keep his star men fit, Slot withdrew Jota, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold late in the second half.
And it was the right-back and the man immediately ahead of him who impressed Troy Deeney most, with the pundit naming Alexander-Arnold and Salah in his Premier League Team of the Week for BBC Sport.

Discussing Alexander-Arnold, Deeney said: “He had a lot of pressure on him coming back from the Euros with England. He’s kind of been made the scapegoat but is now back in his comfortable position, playing forward passes.
“Obviously his pass to Mohamed Salah which created Liverpool’s first goal was great, but I just think playing in a more natural position he seemed a lot happier and more at ease.”
And on Salah, he noted: “An assist and a goal. I think that’s his seven billionth goal on the opening day. Monster. New trim as well for Salah, makes him look double-hard which I think is always good.”
Liverpool pair set for huge season under Arne Slot
Just like Jota and Salah, Alexander-Arnold is set to be a key player for the new Liverpool manager this season.
Keeping him fit and happy will be among Slot’s priorities, with Gary Neville backing Alexander-Arnold and Salah to be a huge threat over the coming months.

There were fears that the Reds could lose both star men given their worrying contract positions, but all is seemingly calm on Merseyside at this moment in time.
Along with Virgil van Dijk, however, their contracts will expire next summer, with Slot needing to rectify that situation as soon as possible.
The man in the Anfield dugout should be desperate to extend their deals on Merseyside before it is too late.
