Liverpool star told he would be crazy to leave this summer after transfer rumours

Liverpool have been the quietest side in the transfer window amongst all Premier League teams, with time running out for movement in terms of signings and outgoings.

Joe Gomez is pushing for a move away from Liverpool with the Reds still working to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili, with the Anfield side likely to end the window with one or even two new signings through the door.

Although Martin Zubimendi rejected a move to Liverpool, there’s enough time left in the market for the Reds to make a big move for a top player, with a midfielder and defender the priority for Arne Slot this summer.

And pundit Jamie O’Hara has now urged one Liverpool player to stay at Anfield this summer.

Mohamed Salah urged to stay amid Liverpool exit rumours

Speaking on TalkSport, the former Tottenham star voiced his concern about Mohamed Salah potentially leaving Liverpool amid ongoing rumours surrounding the attacker’s future at Anfield.

Salah could leave Liverpool at the end of the season with the forward’s contract expiring in 2025, with the Egyptian international subject to a £100m+ offer from Saudi Arabia, a bid that the Reds rejected.

With Salah scoring once again on the opening day of the Premier League this weekend, the prospect of the forward leaving this summer feels unlikely, to say the least, and O’Hara has now urged the forward to remain with the Reds.

O’Hara said on Salah potentially leaving Liverpool: “You look at him. He is ripped. I know everyone talks about Saudi, going out there, the money is going to be astronomical, but he is a gold pick in the Premier League every season. Why would you give that up? It’s not like he is short of cash, is it?”

Liverpool need to make a definitive decision on Salah’s future

With 12 months remaining on Salah’s contract, Liverpool need to start putting plans into action on what they actually want to do with the winger’s future and what next steps need to be taken.

Salah is still one of the best attackers in the world and could realistically play for Liverpool for another season or two if a contract extension can be reached with the former AS Roma star.

As a result, though, Liverpool need to start getting a move on now on deciding Salah’s future, with a player as good as the Egyptian someone who can’t be left waiting on what his club wants to do with him.
