Liverpool have been flying high under Arne Slot, with the manager winning all three matches in charge so far.

Slot is still waiting for his full Liverpool squad, with many key players having missed the pre-season tour of the USA.

But despite not having his full contingent available, Slot guided Liverpool to wins over Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United.

The most convincing victory arrived against the Red Devils, with Curtis Jones, Fabio Carvalho and Kostas Tsimikas scoring in the 3-0 win.

Fans will have been delighted with the performance and result, with Man United among the club’s fiercest rivals.

Liverpool identify new transfer this week

The new Reds manager will also have been thrilled with the display, with Slot impressed by Ryan Gravenberch in the straightforward win.

But according to The Athletic, despite praising Gravenberch for his performance in the number six role, Liverpool have now identified a target in that role.

The publication adeed that it is ‘worth keeping an eye’ on the situation in the coming days, with the Reds targeting a specialist number six from outside of the Premier League.

What does the future hold for Ryan Gravenberch at Liverpool?

Gravenberch has had a fascinating career so far, with the midfielder having already played for Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Ajax at the age of just 22.

He is clearly a talented player, with Jurgen Klopp playing him 38 times last season after his summer move from Germany.

But Gravenberch didn’t exactly manage to keep hold of his starting role when given the chance, leading Klopp to explore other options.

And given the latest transfer update at Liverpool, the midfielder is now in danger of losing his place in the squad.

Having stayed just one season at Bayern Munich, Gravenberch is clearly no stranger to rapidly moving on from a club.
