Liverpool pre-season training is well underway, with the Reds looking very sharp under new manager Arne Slot.

Gary McAllister says Conor Bradley looks ‘totally different’ in pre-season, with Liverpool having just finished their tour of the USA.

The Reds took on Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United, with Slot overseeing three successive victories.

A 1-0 win was secured against the Spanish side, which was followed by 2-1 and 3-0 victories against the Gunners and the Red Devils.

Impressively, the wins came despite the new manager not having his full squad available due to recent international commitments.

Darwin Nunez talks to Trent Alexander-Arnold about Real Madrid

Two players who missed the tour were Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez, but the duo have since returned to training.

And footage has now emerged on X of the pair discussing Alexander-Arnold’s links to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are monitoring Alexander-Arnold, with Nunez saying to his teammate on their way to training: “Y el Real Madrid? Chao!”

It translates to “And Real Madrid? Ciao [or bye!]” with the Anfield pair laughing at the discussion.

Will Trent Alexander-Arnold leave Liverpool this summer?

Losing Alexander-Arnold would be a terrible start to life at Liverpool for Slot, who is set to rely heavily upon the right-back.

The player is capable of lining out in defence and midfield, with his versatility and experience certain to be key to any success that the Reds may have in the near future.

He is now back on Merseyside after his Euro 2024 exploits with England, and fortunately there are no signs that he is leaving Liverpool this summer.

Worryingly, however, Alexander-Arnold’s contract is set to expire next summer, and again there are no signs that a new deal has been tabled.

It puts the Reds in quite a dilemma, as Liverpool chiefs will not want to lose the academy graduate for free next year.
