Liverpool appear to be finalising their plans for the summer transfer window.
The Reds are still yet to make any kind of concrete moves since Arne Slot joined at the end of the season.
With just five weeks remaining in the transfer window, it’s starting to move into now or never territory for the Liverpool owners.
Having missed out on signing Leny Yoro, the Reds have been linked with all kinds of centre-backs to plug the gap that has formed in Slot’s Liverpool squad.
And as the Reds prepare to fly to the United States for their pre-season tour, it looks like they may have just received some good news on one potential target.
Dean Huijsen ready for Premier League move
It cannot be ignored that it was a surprise for Liverpool to see Yoro head to Man United. The Reds had expected the 18-year-old to join Real Madrid.
Nevertheless, Yoro’s ultimate destination did not change the fact of the matter: that Liverpool had missed out on a top target.
While the Frenchman is out of the picture though, he is not the only defender who would improve what Slot currently has at his disposal.
Marc Guehi has been linked once again, for example, and the Crystal Palace man would be an able addition.
But if they are looking for someone in that same range as Yoro, i.e. young and with tons of potential, then perhaps reported Liverpool target Dean Huijsen would be a more appropriate signing.

Liverpool have been in touch with Juventus over a move for Huijsen and according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the 19-year-old is keen on moving to the Premier League.
“These are hot, very hot days for the future of Huijsen,” says Pedulla, before confirming that Bournemouth are a surprise contender to sign the Juve centre-back.
“Two days ago we told you about a new and unprecedented possibility called Bournemouth,” reports the Italian journalist.
“Tiago Pinto knows and appreciates Huijsen for having had him in Rome, there have been contacts and requests for information on the amount to be invested (no less than 25 million [£21m]). Huijsen would be very happy to go to the Premier League, so it’s a path that must be followed.”

It’s a shame that Liverpool couldn’t have bought both Yoro and Huijsen together. 18 and 19 respectively, Yoro and Huijsen would have formed a brilliant partnership for the Reds.
With the former Lille man out of the picture, Liverpool could still at least bring in half of that duo.
Some will no doubt be cautious that the Reds should not be in for players who are being targeted by the likes of Bournemouth, with all due respect.
But Huijsen is a very promising centre-back who could play the role of back-up for a little while before slotting in at some stage in the future.
Certainly, Huijsen seems to be available and the price is more than acceptable, too. Liverpool could do a lot, lot worse.
