Liverpool have reportedly made an approach to sign a Real Madrid star, who is allowed to leave this summer.
The rumour mill is finally starting to pick up for Liverpool this window, with the Reds now linked with an ambitious move to sign England international Marc Guehi, with Goncalo Inacio believed to also be a priority for the Reds.
With Arne Slot yet to make a first-team signing, whoever the Dutchman moves will be viewed by Liverpool fans as a big deal ahead of the new season, where the former Feyenoord man will be expected to deliver for the Anfield side.
And it appears that Liverpool have made contact to sign a Madrid player.

Liverpool make first move to sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin
According to Sport, Liverpool have been in touch with Los Blancos over the signing of Andriy Lunin, who his summer is allowed to leave Madrid after a breakout year with the European champions.
Praised as a ‘world-class’ shot-stopper, Lunin was Madrid’s starting goalkeeper for the majority of last season, though the return of Thibaut Courtois from injury means that the Ukrainian international is likely to drop to the bench for the new campaign.
And as a result, there is some significant transfer interest in Lunin, who at £25m could be quite the signing for a club looking for a new starting goalkeeper, which is what makes Liverpool’s interest somewhat unusual.
Indeed, Alisson Becker is the clear number one at Anfield, and whilst Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to leave, replacing the Republic of Ireland international with Lunin would come across as strange business from Liverpool.

Liverpool might be better off signing another goalkeeper this summer
Having starred for Madrid last season and started at the Euros for Ukraine, Lunin himself will fancy himself as a number one keeper at a top European club after an incredible 12 months.
Which is why a move to Liverpool would come across as unusual for the 25-year-old, who would realistically be a backup for Alisson if he was to make the move to Anfield.
As a result, Liverpool would be better off signing a goalkeeper who is both cheaper and comfortable sat on the bench, with no player on the planet as vital to the Reds between the sticks as Alisson.
