Arne Slot will reportedly have a forgotten Liverpool player available for selection immediately heading into the new Premier League campaign.
Pre-season is well and truly underway for the Reds with Slot taking charge of his first Liverpool friendly against Preston North End as the Merseyside club make last-minute preparations ahead of their tour of the United States.
With Slot now in the hot seat, the Dutch coach will want to impress Liverpool fans with big results and encouraging performances over pre-season, where the Anfield side face the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.
And the new Liverpool manager could now have a forgotten player available for selection this summer.

Stefan Bajcetic set for Liverpool return after injury nightmare
According to the Athletic, Stefan Bajcetic is set to be available for Slot immediately this pre-season, with the Spanish youth international working hard this summer to get fit and to become available for the new campaign.
As per the report, Bajcetic was ‘restricted’ under Jurgen Klopp given the huge amount of fitness issues the midfielder endured, despite the youngster being highly rated by the former Liverpool coach during their time together at Anfield.
Lauded by the legendary German coach as an ‘incredible’ player, there’s a real chance that Bajcetic could be one of the breakout names in the Premier League next season given Liverpool’s need for a midfielder and how effective the youngster has been when given a chance under Klopp.
Indeed, central midfield is a position that needs investment in this summer, yet if Bajcetic can prove his worth over pre-season, there’s every reason to believe that the 19-year-old could save Liverpool millions if he can stay fit as well.

Bajcetic could be Slot’s first big breakthrough at Liverpool
Slot arrives at Liverpool with a reputation of sorts of bringing through young players and turning them into pivotal first-team players in his squads, with the Dutchman winning the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord with one of the youngest teams in the division.
And in Bajcetic, the Spanish midfielder could easily become a key player for Liverpool having already shown in the last 18 months what he’s capable of, with the teenager now back to full fitness and ready to go in the new season.
If Bajcetic can impress in pre-season, there’s good reason to believe that the youngster could be in Liverpool’s starting XI for the opening game of the new Premier League campaign, such is the midfielder’s potential and current ability.
