Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has struck up a close friendship with Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham.
Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham have developed a real bromance while away on international duty with England.
For Liverpool fans, this was initially good news. Alexander-Arnold was trying to get Bellingham to join Liverpool before the 21-year-old moved to Real Madrid last summer.
But with Bellingham already at Madrid and Alexander-Arnold linked with a move to Real, the tables have now started to turn.
Instead of being a potential secret weapon for Bellingham to join him at Anfield, it now feels like it could actually be the other way around.

Jude Bellingham could influence Trent Alexander-Arnold move
There’s absolutely no way that Liverpool should have allowed Alexander-Arnold’s contract to enter its final year.
The academy graduate is one of the most valuable members of the Liverpool squad and should have been tied down to a new deal long ago.
However, this is now where we are. As things stand, Alexander-Arnold is set to leave the Reds on a free transfer next summer.
Of course, that could all change yet. But after watching Trent and Jude be each other’s shadows throughout the Euros, Liverpool fans will be relieved simply to get the 25-year-old back home.

By the sounds of things, other members of the England squad had started to get the feeling that Bellingham could have turned into something of a secret agent for Real Madrid.
According to The Independent, people ‘around the squad’ have been talking about the friendship between Jude and Trent.
They claim that ‘many’ have been speaking as though the Liverpool man’s friendship with Real’s No.5 could end up ‘swinging’ his contract talks.
The feeling is reportedly that linking up with Bellingham in Spain could have an impact on what Alexander-Arnold decides to do, and he could ultimately walk away on a free next summer.
Liverpool must start Trent talks immediately
For a while it really had felt as though Bellingham would end up at Liverpool last summer. Trent played his part in that.
In the end though, the former Borussia Dortmund man could not resist the lure of Real Madrid.
Since then Bellingham has been going from strength to strength. A La Liga and Champions League double in his debut season in the Spanish capital was not a bad way to kick things off.
Unfortunately, with just a year left on his deal, you can understand why Alexander-Arnold would be tempted to join one of his best friends in football at his club. Had Liverpool sorted this out a year ago, that feeling would have been far less.
When Alexander-Arnold returns from holiday Liverpool absolutely have to put everything they can into keeping him at the football club. If not, Bellingham will no doubt be calling up his pal.
