Liverpool’s transfer window is still yet to take shape as they wait for their big stars to return.
The Reds have already begun their pre-season preparations as they gear up for a first campaign without Jurgen Klopp for almost a decade.
Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo are set to return to the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday as Arne Slot ramps up his work.
However, with a number of other big players in the Liverpool squad still away on international duty and on holiday, it will still be a while before the full group is back.
Worryingly, the latest transfer rumours suggest that there is a key player for Liverpool who may not return at all.

Alisson still in talks with Al Nassr
Now heading towards mid-July, Liverpool are surely set to see some activity happen in the transfer window.
Whether it’s incomings or outgoings, the Reds have so far done absolutely nothing since the end of the season. That is likely to change over the next couple of weeks.
Liverpool supporters will hope there is a little more incoming than outgoing, although rumours continue to surface about some of Anfield’s biggest names.
Alisson Becker is reportedly a top target for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. There have been plenty of suggestions that Al Nassr are set to go all out to sign Alisson this summer.

With the goalkeeper having just recently been knocked out of the Copa America with Brazil, he is not due back on Merseyside for another couple of weeks.
In the meantime, TeamTALK claim that Alisson is in talks to join Al Nassr from Liverpool. They report that the 31-year-old has been offered a ‘monster contract’ in order to jump ship this summer.
And although Alisson is described as being ‘reluctant’ to leave Liverpool, it’s claimed that ‘negotiations continue’ with his agents over an unlikely deal.
Happily, a breakthrough in those discussions is said to be ‘increasingly unlikely,’ with Al Nassr simultaneously claimed to be targeting Man City’s Ederson. Personal terms have reportedly been agreed with Ederson, although Alisson is said to be the Saudi club’s top target.
Alisson return can’t come soon enough
Throughout the transfer rumours about Alisson, it has always felt more likely that the Brazilian will stay with Liverpool.
Nevertheless, we could really do with hearing it from the big man himself.
If Alisson did have a sudden urge to leave the club, then it seems as though Al Nassr would be willing to pay whatever it takes to get him to Riyadh.
Had Jurgen Klopp still been manager at Anfield, there would have been nothing really that could have swayed the £67m man towards leaving. But until the No.1 has experienced life under Slot, it’s impossible to say if he’s still completely happy.
As a result, Alisson’s return home can’t come soon enough. If he’s happy with the new head coach and the way things will be moving forward, then surely he can commit his future to Liverpool and these discussions can stop.
