But the Liverpool owners will only spend wisely, with new sporting director Richard Hughes certain to be heavily involved in any transfer discussions.
Slot will perhaps need to wait until his full squad has returned for pre-season before taking any drastic steps.
At the same time, however, time is not exactly on his side, with Liverpool beginning their Premier League campaign just over one month from now.
