A lot of the decisions in the transfer window should come down to Slot, who definitely needs new players in order to successfully take over from Jurgen Klopp.
Much like they did with the much-loved German, FSG should back the Dutchman financially in the coming months.

But the Liverpool owners will only spend wisely, with new sporting director Richard Hughes certain to be heavily involved in any transfer discussions.
Slot will perhaps need to wait until his full squad has returned for pre-season before taking any drastic steps.
At the same time, however, time is not exactly on his side, with Liverpool beginning their Premier League campaign just over one month from now.
