Liverpool fans will be desperate to see new signings arrive at Anfield this summer as the new season approaches.

It is Arne Slot’s first transfer window in the Liverpool dugout, with the Dutchman needing to strengthen his squad before the opening match comes around.

The manager will have plenty of pre-season games to have a good look at his squad, many of whom have returned for training after their summer break.

Slot can also analyse areas of improvement during pre-season training, which is now underway on Merseyside.

It has certainly been quiet on the transfer front at Anfield thus far, although it should come to life in the coming weeks.

Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno close in on Como moves

For the time being, it is former Liverpool players who are making the headlines, with Spanish pair Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno now on the move.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, the duo are ready to sign contracts at Como, with Reina and Moreno set to link up with Cesc Fabregas at the Italian club.

The former Anfield players will sign a one-year deal at Como, who have just been promoted to Serie A after a 21-year absence.

Big changes in Liverpool goalkeeping department

Having just left Villarreal, the door was open for Reina to return to Liverpool, but that door has since been closed.

The goalkeeper enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Anfield, and was adored between the sticks by Reds fans everywhere.

Reina was the club’s clear number one for several years, a role that Brazilian star Alisson has now adopted.

The hugely talented shot-stopper doesn’t look like being usurped anytime soon, even with the impressive displays of Caoimhin Kelleher.

There have, however, already been changes in the goalkeeping department, with third-choice Adrian and coach John Achterberg leaving the club.

The former has departed Merseyside following the expiry of his contract, with Achterberg wishing Adrian the very best following his Liverpool exit.
