Mohamed Salah reported back for pre-season training at Liverpool on Wednesday morning.
In contrast to one year ago, there has so far been little to suggest that Salah is going anywhere this summer.
There is still seemingly a chance that the Saudi sides try and pluck the 32-year-old from Anfield, but for the moment, Salah is staying.
And the Egyptian King was all smiles as he came to the AXA Training Centre to meet new head coach Arne Slot for the first time.
With Liverpool blocking Salah from going to the Olympics, the forward will have no interruptions as he prepares for a new campaign. Brilliantly, he and Slot look to be getting along already.

Mohamed Salah meets Arne Slot
It could end up being vitally important to Liverpool that Salah has virtually a full pre-season this year.
The Egyptian looked a little jaded towards the back end of 2023/24 and there’s hope that a change in management could reinvigorate him.
Certainly, Mo looked as happy as ever on the LFCTV Inside Training video of Wednesday’s session.
Salah has a grin as wide as the Mersey as he says hello to the likes of Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho after their respective loan spells away.
As he wanders around the cafeteria, Slot soon spots Salah, and strides over to say hello.
“Same as mine!” smiles the Dutchman, while rubbing his hand over his head. Player and coach then embrace in a hug.

With Kostas Tsimikas sitting nearby enjoying some food, Slot points a thumb in the Greek’s direction.
“This is your friend?” the 45-year-old asked Salah.
“Kosti? I’m his psychologist, I need to keep him calm all the time,” replies the Liverpool legend.
“He needs one!” laughs Slot.
Mohamed Salah ready for Liverpool swansong
Although Salah looks set to stay at Liverpool for the new season, it’s worth remembering that he only has one year left on his contract at Anfield.
Seeing him come back in so full of joy on Wednesday was a reminder that this is a player who truly loves the club, though.
If this is to be his last year at Liverpool, then let’s hope that Mo can make it one to remember.
It remains to be seen quite how Slot plans to use Salah in his system. The good news is that they now have a reasonable amount of time together to work on it.
As for Tsimikas, there’s a chance that he too will be leaving in the near future. Tsimikas could be sold as Liverpool look to revamp the left-back position. With Mo going nowhere, he’ll have to find a new pyschologist.
