Jurgen Klopp has taken charge of his last game as Liverpool manager.
After 491 matches and seven major trophies won, Klopp has said his farewell to Anfield. Liverpool will have new leadership next season.
It wasn’t a great game to say goodbye in, truth be told. But under the beating Merseyside sun, the Reds got the job done. The honour of Klopp’s final goal as Liverpool manager going to Jarell Quansah.
It really should have been for Luis Diaz, but the 27-year-old somehow conspired to miss an open goal, leaving Klopp stunned.
The real show came after the game, though. The moment everyone was waiting for, Klopp’s final address to his adoring crowd. In typical Jurgen fashion, he didn’t disappoint.

Jurgen Klopp makes Arne Slot song request
During Sunday’s game, the Anfield crowd went through the full songbook.
Familiar tunes for players past were given an airing. From Roberto Firmino to Gini Wijnaldum to Sadio Mane. They all got an airing.
But, of course, the most minutes by far were reserved for Jurgen. Towards the end of the game especially, the crowd sang his song relentlessly.
As the manager stood on stage post-game, he thanked the crowd for ignoring his earlier season request not to sing for him. In response, the crowd rose in unison to serenade him on last time.
As the noise abated, Jurgen had one more request.
“If you sing it next year that would be funny!” laughed the manager, live on Sky Sports, to raucous chuckles from the fans.
Jurgen Klopp sings new Arne Slot song
In sensational fashion, Klopp then went on to announce Liverpool’s new manager.
Having heard his song boom out so much this afternoon, the 56-year-old took the microphone and coined a chant of his own.
“Arne Slot! Na na na na na!” belted Jurgen, to the tune of Opus’ Live is Life.
What a moment, and a new song for the incoming manager already. Slot must have been feeling 20-foot tall from wherever he was watching on.
Wonderful stuff from Jurgen right up to the end.
