Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City will be expected to fish in the same transfer pond when the window opens in the summer.

Just in general, given that they are Premier League title rivals, you expect those same transfer rumours to circulate.

But it doesn’t seem that Liverpool will be the only ones with a desire to bring in a left-back because Arsenal and Manchester City have that as a target also.

When you look across the Premier League, it isn’t blessed with left-sided players.

Andy Robertson is a standout for the Reds, Destiny Udogoie has been incredible for Tottenham, Lucas Digne has been one of Aston Villa’s standout stars, and Emerson is underrated for West Ham.

But the man who is going to be on many teams’ list this summer is Wolves’ attacking machine, Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The Mirror have claimed that Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all hold interest in the Wolves defender.

The current Treble winners facing competition for his signature as they step up interest in the 22-year-old amid their own desire to fill that role for next season.

How Liverpool view Rayan Ait-Nouri

Liverpool have had injury issues at left-back this season, added to the fact that Robertson is 30 and they can’t continue to rely on him.

It is said in the Mirror that the Reds view Ait-Nouri as a ‘gifted competition for first-choice Robertson’.

Of course, if a player like Ait-Nouri comes in, then it would be the end of the road for Kostas Tsimkas, who has filled in this season, along with Joe Gomez – he has been outstanding, to be fair, for most parts and deserved his England recall.

Rayan Ait-Nouri and Andy Robertson at Liverpool

This should be one of the must-have signings from the next Liverpool manager.

Transfer guru Michael Edwards is back in town and fans will be hoping he can work his magic again.

During his previous stint, he pulled some serious rabbits out of the hat and if he can sign Ait-Nouri, then you can add him to the list.

He defines the modern-day fullback. He has crazy ball-carrying ability for a left-back, is aggressive in his tackles and is an absolute menace with the ball.

If Ait-Nouri is on it, then he can easily dethrone a player like Robertson from his starting spot.
