Liverpool are continuing their pursuit of all four trophies available to them this season.
The Reds are pushing on towards an unprecedented quadruple, propelled by the desire to give Jurgen Klopp the historic send-off his reign has deserved.
In the back of supporters’ minds, there may even be a belief that if Liverpool can win it all, maybe Klopp can be persuaded to reverse his decision to leave.
That was exactly the question posed to Andy Robertson when he sat down for an interview with Stadium Astro today. Will the manager stay if Liverpool lift three more trophies this season?
“No. I don’t think he will, no,” smiled the left-back. “I think he’s pretty set on leaving, I think he’s made that clear.
“I think that’s why it’s been announced and I don’t think there’s any way of him doing a U-turn on that.”
Robertson certain of Klopp departure
Should Jurgen decide to reverse his decision at any point between now and the summer, it would be a truly sensational development.
With Michael Edwards returning to the club in a more senior role this week, fans could be forgiven for wondering whether the question would be posed for a final time to Klopp.
The two enjoyed a stellar working relationship during Edwards’ first spell at Anfield. Although it reportedly soured a little towards the end, there’s little question that Edwards and Klopp complemented each other perfectly.
FSG have already done the improbable by convincing their former sporting director to come back. Maybe the band could be gotten back together once and for all?
Well, maybe there is some little prodding for Klopp behind the scenes, who knows. But Jurgen is a man of great conviction. Once he decided he was leaving, that appears to have been that.

It is obviously a great shame for many reasons. One of them being that Klopp has assembled a bright young team who look to be at the beginning of another cycle.
But it is what it is. Part of the reason Liverpool are doing so well this season is surely because Jurgen is giving it absolutely everything safe in the knowledge that he doesn’t have to do it all again.
If he does lead the Reds to three more trophies this campaign then it will go down as perhaps the greatest single season by an English club of all time.
As much as Jurgen might be tempted to stay on the back of that, it would also be one heck of a way to go out. All still to play for, but with the search for a successor well underway, it’s certain to be Klopp’s final throw of the dice.
