After last summer, it’s going to be another transformational window for Liverpool this time around. This is going to be the first summer window in almost a decade that Jurgen Klopp will not be the manager of Liverpool.

It’s going to a busy and exciting summer. With Michael Edwards expected to be at the helm, and Richard Hughes working alongside him, the duo will be looking to continue Liverpool’s recruitment policy. A policy that Edwards had perfected himself and made it a resounding success during his first ten year stint at Anfield.

Already there will be a list of potential targets drawn up by the club’s scouts. Liverpool’s priority will be to invest accordingly to the new manager’s plans. What they may be remains to be seen. But at this point anything is a possibility.

Georgiy Sudakov on Liverpool’s transfer radar

According to a report by Calciomercato, there are a number of clubs interested in the services of Georgiy Sudakov. However, the club that has come very close to signing him so far is Liverpool.

Sudakov is a really talented midfielder who currently plays for Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine’s national team. He is only 21-years-old and scored against Barcelona in the Champions League this season. The young midfielder’s release clause is £127m.

In the past, in an interview with The Telegraph, Sudakov has described his playing style as similar to Phil Foden. He can play in a number of positions. As well as in midfield Sudakov is capable of playing on the wing and even as a number ten.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will look to pursue him. His £127m release clause is very steep for a player who has only proven himself in Ukraine so far. But he does have an abundance of potential and has done well in the Champions League as well.
