Amid the celebrations after the final whistle at Wembley, it was difficult to miss the amount of Liverpool players limping or wearing braces. Even before the game, it was made very clear just how severe the club’s injury crisis was. However, when you see the amount of players on crutches and wearing braces that reality becomes amplified.
On the field, things got even worse when the final quick off. Ryan Gravenberch was forced off the pitch after just 22 minutes. He too was wearing a brace and on crutches by the end of the game as he celebrated at Wembley.
But he wasn’t alone. Wataru Endo was spotted in a brace as well. Curtis Jones was on crutches and there was another key Liverpool player who Jamie Redknapp spotted wearing a brace, and who may be out for a while longer as well.

Jamie Redknapp on Trent Alexander-Arnold
Speaking on Sky Sports’ live broadcast of the game, Jamie Redknapp also shared his worrying verdict about Trent Alexander-Arnold.
“I noticed Trent was in a knee brace earlier on, so he doesn’t look like he’s going to be back any time soon,” Redknapp said.
The 25-year-old has been out injured for several weeks now. The fact that he was still in a knee brace is definitely not ideal. Especially with that big Manchester City game coming up that could determine the Premier League title.
Liverpool would love to have Alexander-Arnold back for that game. However, based on the evidence shared by Redknapp and what was obvious for all to see the cup celebrations, that possibility looks unlikely. The chances of him only coming back after the March international break is far more likely.
