Liverpool are preparing themselves for an important summer. Jurgen Klopp’s departure will undoubtedly have an impact on what will go on at the club. Although to what extent or what kind of ripple effect it will cause – we don’t know yet.
Certainly, as we have seen over the course of the last few years, what is blatantly obvious is that Liverpool are building for the future. Klopp launched Liverpool 2.0 this season, and that rebuild process will continue without him.
One of the oldest players now in the squad is Mohamed Salah. He is also one of the most important players. However, whether the 31-year-old has a long-term future at Anfield is moot. Especially, with now less than a year and a half left on his contract.

Mohamed Salah transfer latest
According to a report from The Athletic, sources close to Al Ittihad indicated they had not given up hope and were prepared to pay up to £200million for the Liverpool midfielder. Which could still be the case this summer as per the report.
That would be a mouth-watering sum for Liverpool. And it’s one that could go a long way in helping the Reds’ rebuilding the rest of the squad. While also giving a huge transfer kitty to any new prospective manager.
Losing Salah would be a huge blow. He is undoubtedly still one of the best players in the world. But given just how big that transfer fee might be, it’s an offer that could be too good to refuse. It looks like this saga will continue in the summer.
