Liverpool are spoilt when it comes to attacking options this season. Jurgen Klopp has a whole array of world-class talent to select from. That’s why even when Mohamed Salah is absent, the club can still thrive in front of goal.
Bournemouth was a perfect example of that. With Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, both clinical in front of goal. That game only made our mouths water even more about the prospect of Mohamed Salah returning back into this starting eleven.
When that will happen though, is moot. As revealed last night, he is on his way back to Liverpool from the African Cup of Nations after picking up an injury. However, it’s not set in stone yet that he will remain at Liverpool. The possibility of him returning to the tournament hasn’t been ruled out.

Graeme Souness on Mohamed Salah
Graeme Souness has been speaking about Salah on talkSPORT. The former Liverpool midfielder was on the Simon & Souness show where he explained just how highly he rates the Egyptian.
“He turns up every game. He turns up every season and they win stuff. I can’t believe how good he is at Liverpool,” Souness said.
He then went onto marvel at Salah’s career trajectory. Before going onto say that he believes Salah is one of the best attackers Liverpool have ever had.
“He was at some Swiss club, Basel, then Chelsea, then to Fiorentina, then to Roma and you think he is a 15 goal a season man and now he has gone to another level. You have to talk about him as one of, if not, the best striker Liverpool have ever had. And that’s Roger Hunt, Ian Rush, Kenny, Suarez. He is up there with those guys and they were all worldies.”
Souness is 100% correct. Salah is simply sensational. He is the best £34m (as per the BBC) the club has ever spent. That’s why it’s so imperative that Liverpool get him back fit, as safely and as soon as possible.
