Summer of 2023 was about as exciting as it gets for Liverpool fans in the transfer market.

There was activity right up until the final day, when Ryan Gravenberch arrived from Bayern Munich. Prior to that there had been no end of intrigue as three new faces joined the club.

Crucially, all four additions appeared delighted to have joined Liverpool. In a summer where some high-profile players also turned the Reds down, this was nice to see. One of those through the Anfield entrance was Dominik Szoboszlai. Since joining from RB Leipzig, the 23-year-old has been an almost instant hit amongst Liverpool fans.

And judging by a recent photo of Szoboszlai’s living room, the Hungary captain is equally delighted to be a Red. As posted by Hungarian tattoo artist Daniel Torocsik on Instagram, Liverpool’s No.8 has a life-size cardboard cut-out of himself in his very own living room.

The cut-out, kitted out in this year’s full LFC home strip stands with its arms outstretched just behind Szoboszlai’s luxurious looking sofa. As Hungarian outlet Index report, this is indeed a shot taken from Dom’s home. Interesting decor!

Szoboszlai loving life in Liverpool

Some people might poke fun at this, but it’s a really good little sign that Szoboszlai is happy in Liverpool.

Of course, there’s no real reason that he shouldn’t be. The former Salzburg midfielder slotted straight in as a key player in a top team.

Nevertheless, following Jurgen Klopp’s announcement that he will leave the Reds this summer, nothing can be taken for granted in terms of player happiness.

A number of players have already been backed to follow Klopp out of Anfield. Obviously, having only just arrived, few will be expecting Szoboszlai to fall into this bracket.

Despite that, there was a bit of noise from the player’s camp over the weekend.

First, his agent claimed that Klopp’s impending departure had ‘created a situation’ at the club. However, he didn’t suggest that it would impact on his client’s future.

Next, the Hungary national team manager, Marco Rossi, suggested that Szoboszlai could in fact be playing for an even better club. Like who, Marco?

But if Dom is planning to make a break for it from Liverpool then he’s got a funny way of showing it. This piece of home art would suggest he’s loving life as a Red.
